We take the current unprecedented times seriously and have focused on the best practices to follow in every area to ensure we are mitigating risk throughout our communities.

Committed To Safety & Comfort

Keeping our residents, resident family members, and our employees safe and comfortable is the most important thing for us as an organization. At Christenson safety and cleanliness has always been our focus. We're following all guidelines under the provincial health authority and we have implemented additional safety measures in our communities.

Enhanced safety measures we are taking in our communities:

  • Screening at all available/open entrances for residents, staff and any essential visitors
  • Hand sanitization stations throughout our communities
  • Symptom management-monitoring staff and residents daily for any symptoms
  • Posters around our community encouraging increased hand washing and physical distancing
  • Implementing mandatory masks for our staff
  • Regular auditing and education around hand hygiene compliance
  • Recreational activities adjusted to ensure we are practising physical distancing without contact
  • Ongoing communication and education of all public health directive’s to residents, resident family members and staff
  • We offer residents the option to have meals brought directly to their suite for their convenience and safety
  • Ongoing training to non-clinical team members in order to best equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to support the clinical team
  • Dining tables and seating have been reorganized to ensure proper safe distancing
  • Increased cleaning and sanitization protocols throughout our communities
  • Visitation monitoring and two designated visitors per resident at this time
  • Pandemic emergency plan in place that is regularly reviewed with staff and leadership team
  • Personal protective equipment available for our staff and residents use
